I am Finnish artist.

I work with photographs in different forms, from traditional photographs to printmaking and ceramics.

My background is from the field of photographic art, seeing through the lens. Working with physical materials takes me forward on my aspiration, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional form, from digital to a unique work. Tangible working brings presence to my working and works.

The presence is also related to my current work on the theme of "immersions". This work is based on the restoration of my own garden, where I have revived the depleted land towards a wild forest garden, so that the native species can flourish again. The work moreover reflects my own growth story.

My aim is to bring forth an understanding of the world and one's own life, to make works as gentle places where you can take a breath and widen your imagination.

I´m usually working with long-term projects of which starting points have been found in my own circle of life, but the themes touch globally. I have dealt with childhood and intergenerational issues in my previous works “Trace” and “Just Small Hiccups”.

I have attended in solo and group exhibitions as well as at international photography festivals since 2004. In addition, I made monograph from the series Just Small Hiccups in 2016, published by a well-known Kehrer Verlag. My works are in the State Art Deposit Collection and private collections. I graduated as Master of Arts in 2013 from Aalto University's School of Arts and Design, Department of Photographic Art.

I have been teaching photography and visual arts for ten years, where I prioritize creating a safe and creative space for nurturing one's creativity and fostering a rich atmosphere of ideas. My employer have been inter alia the Finnish Museum of Photography and The Helsinki Artists’ Association Course Centre.
